Please consider the following:<\/p>\n<p><b>WHAT TO DO<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Wash your hands<\/b>\u00a0regularly and thoroughly with soap and water or a disinfectant, and avoid touching your face (eyes, nose, mouth) with your hands.<\/li>\n<li><b>Cover you cough or sneezes\u00a0<\/b>with a tissue which you must dispose of straightaway using a rubbish bin. If you don\u2019t have a tissue, use your elbow.<\/li>\n<li><b>If you experience mild symptoms<\/b>\u00a0of respiratory infection (cough, runny nose, fever, sore throat)\u00a0<b>stay home\u00a0<\/b>in isolation.<\/li>\n<li><b>If symptoms become worse or if you are considered high-risk<\/b>\u00a0(elderly or people of any age with underlying health conditions e.g. diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular and chronic respiratory diseases, arterial hypertension), you should immediately contact your physician for evaluation.<\/li>\n<li>If you are under medication, you must comply with your doctors\u2019 advice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>WHAT NOT TO DO<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>You should not come in contact with persons who show symptoms of respiratory infection<\/b>\u00a0(cough, runny nose, fever, sore throat).<\/li>\n<li><b>Avoid gatherings<\/b>, social events, visits to other houses and\u00a0<b>crowded open spaces<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li><b>Avoid any unnecessary travels abroad or within the country<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li><b>Do not visit your doctor or a health unit if you develop mild symptoms<\/b>\u00a0of respiratory infection (cough, runny nose, fever, sore throat).<\/li>\n<li>Strictly avoid visits to patients in hospitals.<\/li>\n<li><b>Strictly avoid contact with people in high-risk groups<\/b>. The new coronavirus has no relation to other coronavirus strains (eg 229E, NL63, OC43, HKU1) that are isolated in humans and cause mild symptoms such as the common cold.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_wrap\" data-tags=\"all \">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_title\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_hor\"><\/span>\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_vert\"><\/span>\n<\/span>\n<a href=\"#\">How long will the pandemic last?<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_inner\">\n<p>We are not able to predict the duration of the epidemic and how it will develop. This is a new pathogen, of which our knowledge is still limited. For example, it is unknown whether transmission to the community will be limited during the summer, as is the case with seasonal flu.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><div id=\"cmsmasters_heading_qfrae20pgs\" class=\"cmsmasters_heading_wrap cmsmasters_heading_align_left\">\n\t<h3 class=\"cmsmasters_heading\">Transmition<\/h3>\n<\/div><div class=\"cmsmasters_toggles toggles_mode_toggle\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_wrap\" data-tags=\"all \">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_title\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_hor\"><\/span>\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_vert\"><\/span>\n<\/span>\n<a href=\"#\">Where do coronaviruses come from?<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_inner\">\n<p>Coronaviruses infect animals but some of them also infect humans. Rare strains that infect animals can be transmitted to humans with the exception of MERS virus, SARS virus and now Covid-19 virus.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_wrap\" data-tags=\"all \">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_title\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_hor\"><\/span>\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_vert\"><\/span>\n<\/span>\n<a href=\"#\">How is it transmitted and how easy is the spread of the disease?<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_inner\">\n<p>Although the virus comes from animals, it is transmitted from person to person and easily and steadily spreads in the community. Dissemination in the community means the occurrence of confirmed cases for which the source of transmission is unknown.<\/p>\n<p>Strict adherence to social distance measures and the parallel proper implementation of personal protection measures limits the rate of dispersal in the community.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_wrap\" data-tags=\"all \">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_title\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_hor\"><\/span>\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_vert\"><\/span>\n<\/span>\n<a href=\"#\">Can a confirmed case of the new Covid-19 virus be transmitted to another person?<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_inner\">\n<p>The virus is transmitted from person to person. A person with symptoms with the new Covid-19 coronavirus infection can transmit the disease to other people. For this reason, it is recommended to isolate symptomatic patients in the hospital or at home depending on the severity of their clinical picture. Patients cease to be contagious, and it is therefore decided to remove the isolation when ALL THE FOLLOWINGS are met:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>They are fever-free without the use of medication<\/li>\n<li>They are asymptomatic (AND without cough)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_wrap\" data-tags=\"all \">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_title\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_hor\"><\/span>\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_vert\"><\/span>\n<\/span>\n<a href=\"#\">Can a person in quarantine transmit the disease to other people?<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_inner\">\n<p>Quarantine is a measure of isolation of individuals or groups of individuals after possible exposure to a pathogen that has not yet shown symptoms, to prevent spread. The duration of quarantine is equal to the incubation time of the disease, which is the time between the last exposure to the pathogen and the onset of symptoms. The incubation time for new Covid-19 coronavirus infection is 14 days. People whose quarantine has been decided cannot transmit the disease.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_wrap\" data-tags=\"all \">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_title\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_hor\"><\/span>\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_vert\"><\/span>\n<\/span>\n<a href=\"#\">Can covid-19 be transmitted from food?<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_inner\">\n<p>(Including frozen or frozen foods)<\/p>\n<p>Covid-19 is transmitted from person to person through respiratory droplets (eg cough, sneezing, runny nose). There is no evidence of transmission through food. However, it is necessary to wash your hands with soap and water before cooking or eating after coughing, sneezing, or blowing your nose after using the toilet.<\/p>\n<p>It is possible to transmit the disease by contact with surfaces infected with a new Covid-19 coronavirus and then touching the mouth, nose, or eyes with the hands, although this is not the main mode of transmission.<\/p>\n<p>However, due to the poor survival of the virus on the surfaces, it is considered extremely difficult to transmit through food or packages that have been transported for days or weeks at room temperature or in refrigerated or frozen conditions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_wrap\" data-tags=\"all \">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_title\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_hor\"><\/span>\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_vert\"><\/span>\n<\/span>\n<a href=\"#\">Can improved weather conditions (high temperatures) limit the spread of the new covid -19?<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_inner\">\n<p>It is not known at this time whether improved weather and higher temperatures are associated with limited spread of the new Covid-19 coronavirus. If you experience symptoms compatible with a new Covid-19 coronavirus infection such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>fever<\/li>\n<li>cough<\/li>\n<li>breathing difficulty<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>contact your personal physician directly.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_wrap\" data-tags=\"all \">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_title\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_hor\"><\/span>\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_vert\"><\/span>\n<\/span>\n<a href=\"#\">What are the high risk groups for serious disease from new Covid-19.<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_inner\">\n<p>The high-risk groups include the elderly as well as people of any age with underlying chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, lung disease, diabetes, immunodeficiency.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_wrap\" data-tags=\"all \">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_title\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_hor\"><\/span>\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_vert\"><\/span>\n<\/span>\n<a href=\"#\">What should people at high risk do?<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_inner\">\n<p>For individuals belonging to vulnerable groups of the population, it is considered particularly necessary the systematic implementation of all measures to prevent the transmission and spread of the new coronavirus Covid-19, with emphasis on the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Avoid contact with people with symptoms of respiratory infection.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid all unnecessary travel, especially to areas or countries with confirmed transmission of the virus to the community.<\/li>\n<li>Apply hand hygiene and avoid hand contact with the face (eyes, nose, mouth).<\/li>\n<li>Adherence to the chronic medication they may receive and the instructions of the treating physicians.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid synchronization and event venues unless necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Immediate contact with the treating physician in case of symptoms of respiratory infection and medical evaluation.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid visits to inpatients.<\/li>\n<li>Avoiding visits to health services without a serious reason.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_wrap\" data-tags=\"all \">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_title\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_hor\"><\/span>\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_vert\"><\/span>\n<\/span>\n<a href=\"#\">Can the mask effectively protect me from the Covid-19 virus?<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_inner\">\n<p>The use of a mask prevents the transmission of the disease from patients to healthy people. Therefore the mask is used only for protection\u00a0of health professionals,\u00a0of people caring for patients with a new Covid-19 coronavirus infection (eg at home, in institutions for the chronically ill)\u00a0and its use is not recommended in the healthy population.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_wrap\" data-tags=\"all \">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_title\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_hor\"><\/span>\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_vert\"><\/span>\n<\/span>\n<a href=\"#\">It is safe to pick up packages or parcels from China or other areas with the virus in the community?<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_inner\">\n<p>Because SARS-Cov2 does not survive on surfaces for long periods of time, the risk of transmission from products or packages that have traveled for days or weeks at room temperature is extremely low. Coronaviruses are transmitted mainly by respiratory droplets.<\/p>\n<p>There is currently no evidence to support the transmission of the SARS \u2013 CoV2 coronavirus through contact with products \/ packages imported from an infected area, nor have cases been reported related to such transmission.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_wrap\" data-tags=\"all \">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_title\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_hor\"><\/span>\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_vert\"><\/span>\n<\/span>\n<a href=\"#\">How can we protect ourselves from Covid-19?<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_inner\">\n<ul>\n<li><b>Wash your hands<\/b> thoroughly with soap and water or with an alcoholic solution and avoid hand-to-face contact (eyes, nose, mouth).<\/li>\n<li><b>Cover the cough<\/b> or sneeze with a paper towel which we discard immediately in the trash. If this is not available, cover with the inside of the elbow.<\/li>\n<li>If we experience mild symptoms of a respiratory infection (cough, runny nose, fever, sore throat) we remain at home in isolation.<\/li>\n<li>In case of worsening of the symptoms or if we belong to a vulnerable group (elderly people, people of any age with chronic underlying diseases eg diabetes, cardiovascular and chronic respiratory diseases, hypertension), we contact the treating physician immediately for medical evaluation.<\/li>\n<li>If we take medication, we follow the instructions of the treating physicians.<\/li>\n<li>We do not encounter people who show symptoms of a respiratory infection (cough, runny nose, fever, sore throat).<\/li>\n<li>We avoid synchronization spaces, social events, home visits and staying in open spaces in synchronization conditions.<\/li>\n<li>We avoid all unnecessary travel both inside and outside the country.<\/li>\n<li>We do not go to a doctor or health unit in case of mild symptoms of a respiratory infection (cough, runny nose, fever, sore throat).<\/li>\n<li>We strictly avoid visits to hospitalized patients.<\/li>\n<li>We strictly avoid contact with people who belong to a vulnerable group. If this is not possible, strictly follow all personal hygiene measures (very good and thorough hand washing, use of a mask or keeping a distance of at least 2 meters).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><div id=\"cmsmasters_heading_8o2u2174ve\" class=\"cmsmasters_heading_wrap cmsmasters_heading_align_left\">\n\t<h3 class=\"cmsmasters_heading\">Symptoms &#8211; Laboratory test<\/h3>\n<\/div><div class=\"cmsmasters_toggles toggles_mode_toggle\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_wrap\" data-tags=\"all \">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_title\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_hor\"><\/span>\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_vert\"><\/span>\n<\/span>\n<a href=\"#\">What are the symptoms of a new Covid-19 infection?<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_inner\">\n<p>With the data so far the virus can cause mild flu-like symptoms such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>fever<\/li>\n<li>cough<\/li>\n<li>breathing difficulty<\/li>\n<li>myalgias<\/li>\n<li>payment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In severe cases, severe pneumonia, acute respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis and septic shock, and death may occur.
